With the one and only, John Grisham!!!

What an honor to get to meet the legendary John Grisham! His story is one of true inspiration. Rejection after rejection until Hollywood offered a movie deal for The Firm, and the rest, as they say, is history! He's a fellow Mississippian, a true southern gentleman, and one of my favorite authors. It tickled me to death when he teased me by asking, "What are you doing here?" And then he wished me all the best of luck!

My favorite book club!!

Thrillers By The Book Club Houston!! And what a treat it was to have author, Ashley Winstead at our meeting where we discussed her novel, THE FUTURE SAINTS. I read this one in one sitting and was crying at the end. It's that good! Check it out!

The Best Writing Retreat!

The best writing retreat is the one you do with your bestie! I recently spent a dreamy few days with my writing bestie, Shells Legoullan, and came away with my heart and word count full! We spent our days writing, workshopping plot twists, walking beneath the misty Pacific Northwest skies, squeezing in workouts, and winding down with thriller movies! On top of that, she spoiled me rotten! Homemade sourdough, incredible meals, breathtaking views, and the kind of encouragement only a true friend can give.

What a blast meeting my favorite authors, learning from the best in the business, pitching to literary agents, and making new friends! There isn't anything quite like ThrillerFest! It's always an incredible experience and one I'm looking forward to again this year!

Masterclass 2025!

Masterclass 2025 with best-selling author Allison Brennan, who critiqued our work and gave us amazing advice and encouragement. It was also the beginning of one of my writing groups, all of whom have become like family to me. I'm so grateful to a part of their writing journeys and to have such incredible and supportive writing friends. And as a bonus, my mom attended this class with me!

I had Alex Finlay as my Masterclass instructor, pitched to literary agents, and was inspired by bestselling authors who shared their stories of publication and inspiration.
